Transformation Through Marathon Leadership
This week I was touched by an amazing show on Amazon Prime called Skid Row Marathon. This is the story of Craig Mitchell, a Los Angeles criminal court judge who finds a way to make a difference in the lives of people who are in so much trouble they have run out of people and places to turn to.
These are stories of transformation! Judge Mitchell, frustrated with a perpetual cycle of broken people getting stuck in lives of shame, rejection and crime, decides he can make a difference... one person at a time. He starts "the running club", literally giving people something to run to rather than away from.
I saw judge Mitchell applying the EOS Five Leadership Abilities™ to make these transformations stick!

Quote I Am Pondering
"You either commit yourself as a professional racing driver that's designed to win races or you come second or you come third or fifth and (I) am not design to come third, fourth or fifth, I race to win."

THE VISIONARY: FOUNTAIN OF BIG IDEAS
By EOS Worldwide JULY 21, 2020
Entrepreneurial companies exist because someone had a vision of an amazing company, full of talented people, that provided a solution or a service that was uniquely their own. At EOS®, we have a name for the person with the big idea: The Visionary.
WHAT IS A VISIONARY?
Typically, visionaries hold titles like company founder, president, or CEO.
But that’s just a title. A true visionary many times has traits like these:
- Creative problem solver
- Are strategic thinkers
- Inspire people
- Have a pulse on the industry
- Always see the big picture
You get the idea!
A visionary tends to be a great leader with lots of big ideas, is a relationship builder and salesperson, and tends to operate more on emotion.
The book Rocket Fuel by Gino Wickman and Mark C. Waters explores the role of the visionary in-depth and says, “If you are a visionary, you are one of only 3% of the population that create two-thirds of the new jobs in our economy.”
Now, more than ever, the world needs visionary entrepreneurs – they’re the ones that will solve our current problems and pull us all forward.
But they can’t do it alone.
